Where do the Jobs come from?
100-percent of our residential and commercial projects are submitted online personally; by project owners themselves, looking for your services. In addition to online project posting, many project owners utilize our contractor directory data base to find a contractor for their project. Premium members again have the edge; with premium member listings ranking at the top of each category listing.

How good are the projects?
HandyCanadian.com does its best to ensure that all posted projects are listed with adequate contact information and sufficient details so that contractors get an accurate overview of the scope of the job opportunity.

What kind of projects are posted?
Posted projects cover all areas of residential and commercial construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair; ranging from 100 dollars to several million dollars in value.

What is the Posting Process?
Once a project is received, it is posted to a secure server on our web site. Contractor members receive an e-mail with complete details of the posted project, and can login at HandyCanadian.com with their own personal user name and password to view the job description online.

Premium members are provided the additional information required for direct contact with the project owner. They can connect with the project owner about the job, or respond to any other active job posting of interest – locally, or anywhere across Canada. With the option to make contact independently, or use our state-of-the-art online communication tools to interact with project owners and bid on projects.

When does HandyCanadian.com get paid?
HandyCanadian.com does not charge lead fees or fees for posting projects. HandyCanadian.com earns revenue from contractor Premium Membership fees only. A low, one-time fee; paid annually or semi-annually, at the contractor’s discretion.

How does HandyCanadian.com select Contractors?
Any contractor or service professional can join as a HandyCanadian.com member, add their profile to our directory data base, and receive e-mail notification of new project postings; Premium Membership provides additional benefits – including direct project owner contact information, tools to bid on jobs posted and Top-of-Directory Listing.

What is the cost of joining HandyCanadian.com?
HandyCanadian.com offers FREE Directory Listing Membership as well as paid Premium Membership. Our Premium Membership has two pricing plans: $325.00 for 6-month membership; $495.00 for 12-months. Both Premium Membership pricing plans offer unlimited job lead potential, with unrestricted bidding on projects of interest and Top-of-Directory Listing.

As a Premium Members will I receive notification of the jobs that I want to bid on in my email?
Yes, using state-of-the-art technology that matches your bidding criteria with that of any posted project, jobs posted in your geographic area that match services you offer will automatically be forwarded to you via email!

From a bottom line standpoint would my business benefit?
One secured project and a contractor member could immediately recover the membership fee paid – in addition to a healthy profit! Additional secured projects present even more profit earning potential; growing your business and increasing company revenue, without pounding the pavement in search of new job leads.

Successful business owners are well-acquainted with the expense involved to acquire new project leads; primarily through mass media advertising such as newspaper, radio, and television. One full-page ad in a major metropolitan newspaper, for instance, can cost over $20,000 to run one time! By joining HandyCanadian.com under Premium Membership, you avoid these high costs. And receive a continuous flow of regular e-mails outlining new job opportunities in your area. With complete direct contact information that allows you to connect with project owners that require your type services.

Analyze the cost of our service and profit potential, and then compare it to the immense cost of mass media marketing; it makes perfect sense to join HandyCanadian.com. Theoretically a contractor could join our service for 5 years at a total cost of $1625.00, win only one project in that time frame and yet come out with a profit. Still not convinced? How do I know my personal and credit card information is secure?
Online security is a matter HandyCanadian.com takes very seriously. All personal information and credit card transactions are made secure using SSL (secure socket layer) technology and secure server software.

SSL is the industry standard for protecting web communications present day. The SSL security protocol provides data encryption, server authentication and message integrity. Credit card transactions are processed immediately and securely, using 128-bit encryption - the highest level generally available modern day.

When you are viewing any Web page, a lock icon near the lower-right corner of the window informs you whether the entire contents of the page is protected by encryption while it is being received by your computer:

Closed lock icon, like on the images displayed below - means that the page is protected by encryption. Open or broken lock icon - means the page is not protected by encryption.

The latest version of Windows Internet Explorer 7 displays the lock icon in the upper right corner of the browser window as indicated in the image below:

By inputting information into secure online forms, only the intended party is allowed to translate the encoded information. Again, most browsers have secure forms built right in, but to be sure, always look for the locked padlock symbol on the bottom bar or top corner of your browser window or a change in the address line from "http" to "https" to ensure that a site is running in secure mode before you enter sensitive information.
