I noticed that some exterior cedar siding is showing damage, not sure if it is water damage the age of siding. What type of company would be able to fix this?

You should first check to see if it is moisture damage. You can have a thermal inspection done of the exterior to see if it is moisture and if the moisture has penetrated into the wall prior to opening the wall system up.

Make sure to hire a certified thermographer and someone who has good equipment and experience.

Good luck.

I think the chances of a exterior company finding a match to the siding you have now is pretty slim. You may have to do a replacement.

Look into canexcel or KWP naturetech engineered wood siding, both of these products are at the highest standards and would be pricy but money well spent. Most siding contractors should be able to assist you in your next siding project.

Hope this helps.

Chis,

Cedar will wear out from a number of reasons, from the sun/heat, another is rot, and another is being damaged.

Has your siding been painted or stained? Matching siding is fairly easy, since cedar is quite standard, and has been for quite a few years now. Painting/staining will improve the match if you paint the rest of the plane associated with it.

A siding company can do it. Or anyone who does residential maintenance as well.
