Hi,

Recently I received my Industrial electrical licence, but I am planing to open electrical bussines for residential needs. Can I do that ?

You need to be a licensed journeyman for a minimum of 3 years, have a passed a master electrician licensing exam and prove other business qualifications.

If you do not hold a valid C of Q with 309, you wont be allowed to wire homes as your training has been only around commercial and industrial, which has not much to do with residential work.

You also must register a company with the government and have insurances in place.

Robert and James have it right. A 442 is not going to help you out much in this case. You still need to be a Master or hire a Master if you want to be an authorized EC in Ontario.
