I have a mahogany dining table. One of its legs has come out of the joint and broken. The surface has also cracked at the joints.

Can this be repaired? How much would this roughly cost?

Thanks,

Datta

Hi Datta, It sounds like you need the services of a furniture restoration person. I do that kind of thing but would never give an estimate without seeing the piece first. The visible damage is often just a symptom of an underlying problem that needs to be dealt with to ensure the piece can be made whole and sound again. They often require a little disassembly to get an accurate picture of what needs to be done.

Providing you have all of the pieces, it should be possible to re assemble everything.

I don't know if there are furniture repair companies on here but you could put your requirements in the "post your project" section and see if there is anyone local. Some overall and close up photos would definitely help.

Good Luck with it!
