We are converting our heating from electric baseboards to a gas furnace and will be installing all the necessary duct work. We are looking for someone to remove the finished ceiling in the basement of our bungalow, as well as replace the ceiling and build the bulk heads around the duct work.

Stippled Ceiling repair (water damage)
Two rooms, one (1) a living room approx 11" x 16" and two (2) a dining room approx 10" x15", have sustained some water damage several months ago. Both have a portion of tape that came undone due to the water and have removed or bubbled the stipple below the taped joints. Both need to have exisiting stipple removed. Both need to have new drywall, tape and mud re-applied. And both need to be re-stippled.

Re-shingle the roof of our home with shingles of same colour and quality as the ones currently installed. Most of the roof is 15 years old, some parts are newer and were added in 2003. I am finishing my basement. I am unable to complete the drop ceiling. The wall moldings have been installed with a laser level. Ceiling repair from water damage coming in from skylight
Front foyer has skylight over hardwood staircase. Foyer is approximately 12ft wide, 16ft long and 18ft high with. The skylight has leaked into the attic and down the walls of the skylight nook. The skylight is being replaced but the damage from the leak will still be there. The ceiling is at least 18 feet from the floor so scaffolding would most likely be required to repair the damaged drywall ceiling. Attic would require inspection for mould and further water damage. I should also mention the the ceiling has stippling.

Whirlpool tub replacement/repair - Master ensuite
Having just moved into this house, we have discovered that the master ensuite whirlpool tub is leaking. A plumber has assessed that it may be almost as expensive to repair as to replace it, and since it is an older tub he recommended to replace it. The job is to remove the old tub and to install a new one, including any necessary reworking/repair to the surrounding frame, ceramic, mirrors, etc.

Ensuite bathroom renovation . 1990 single detached home in Beaverbrook , Ontario Currently linolium floor. We want to put new cermic tile on the floor and all around the bath tub . There is existing tiles around the bathtub now. I suspect you will need to add a new plywood floor to glue the tiles.( tiles will be supplied ) Install new toilet only.( supplied ) We will be refacing the bathroom vanity doors only as well changing the countertop , double sink and faucets. ( all materials supplied ) We are not touching the stand up shower as it is good or existing bath tub. We are tiling around the bathtub. The bathroom is approx 12 ft x 9 ft ( irregular shape ) and this includes the bathtub area. living room
my name is Pamela, I recently brought a 30 year old house, where we gutted the whole interior and are slowly rebuilding it to our satisfaction. I would like some ideas on making my living room the point of contact in the house. I want the room to be confortable and inviting. We painted all the walls with a nice refresh white coat. we put new floating floors a meduim strawberry blonde color. it looks a little rustic but still modern. We cut a hole in the wall seperating the kitchen from the living room. To allow for more light. I like the idea of an accent wall and plants. the dimension of the room is 400 x 200 feet. In addition, I was wondering what you suggested for master bedroom. I painted the wall behind the bed chocolate brown and the rest a carmel color. it has the same strawberry blond flooring. I wanted to make the room comfortable, calming. the room is 110 x 100 feet. There is a huge wall closet, seperate by a hallow wall, allowing clothes to flow behind.

We are looking for a licensed Electrician to install a 60 amp breaker and wiring for a hot tub. The electrical in place is "said" to be easy to work with by our builder - Minto (but obviously we are no experts in this area) and is new as the house was built in 2009. Exterior front steps
I would like to redo the steps at the front entrance of my house. Right now there is a brick and concrete patio which measures approximately 4` x 5`, which will have to be removed. The original steps are still attached to the house and the patio was built over them. The house was built in or around the 60`s. I would like the new steps to be similar to that of the original ones in terms of size (approx. 4 steps and 2` wide). I would like to extent the roof over the door a bit to cover the steps (almost a mini porch). The materials I would like to use for the steps would be stacked bricks with slate steps (depending on the cost ). Blown in attic insulation
looking for online estimate only for price & availability to provide material and labour to install ~8 inches of blown fiberglass or cellulose in an attic. Surface area is roughly 1900 sq ft (builder's drawing claims 2844 sq ft, so I preume that is over 2 floors so possibly the area is only 1422). Access to attic is through ceiling on 2nd floor. House built in 1986. Current material is blown pink fiberglass I am willing to load the hopper so labour could only require installer in the attic. Basement Renovation
Requesting an estimate to remove a wall (approx 9-10 ft) and add a wall (approx 4-6 ft) and a door as per diagram. There currently is an electrical outlet and switch on the wall that needs to be removed. They will need to be relocated on the new or an existing wall. The greyed out area of the diagram indicates existing false ceiling. I would like the estimate to include cost of putting in a proper ceiling as well. Convert Lawn to Driveway.
I own a one-car garage townhouse with a small front lawn. I would to get quotes for converting the lawn to a second driveway using interlocking pavers. Approx size is 9'6"x24'6". I don't intend to change my driveway, which is currently paved. There is a retaining wall on one side separating my lawn from my neighbour's. Also, a row of interlock bricks currently separates my lawn from my driveway. There was also a tree and a couple of shrubs that I've cut down but the stumps are still there.

Upper Deck
We currently have an existing upper deck off of our kitchen. The deck is quite small and we'd like to add on to it. The addition would be approximately 8 feet by 8 feet. We would remove the existing railings and match up with the new addition. The new upper deck addtion would probably require three posts, attachment to the existing deck, and attaching to the home over vinyl siding. We are hoping to have the deck completely by the end of October in order to take advantage of the Home Renovation Tax Credit and before the cold weather arrives. Bathroom Shower Reno
I live in Kanata and have a shower that needs to be renovated. I currently have an all cermic shower that needs to be taken out and a new acrylic one put in. I already have the acrylic shower its a multi piece unit from http://www.dreamlineshowers.com/shower-back-wall-qwall-03.html . So here is what I need done - Remove old Ceramic (currently 50x50 approx) - Make new walls to contain new wall system (48x36) - Install walls, tray, doors and Shower water column (1 piece jetted ) - Finish with tile between old and new section - Acrylic Walls are 77” high with base and actual walls are 92” high. Need a fireplace surround constructed, suspended ceiling in basement, kitchen counter replacement
I have a couple small and a couple of large projects and I'm looking for a quality contractor who can help with some small items now and be our go-to for larger projects down the road. Our immediate concern is to construct a fireplace surround for our new gas fireplace. we want a very simple MDF construct to essentially box in the fireplace recessing it and creating a mantle in the process. We also want to frame in a bedroom in the partially finished basement. The "room" already has a window and closet but is open to the rest of the basement. We also want a suspended ceiling installed throughout the basement. which is mostly finished. Near future projects (most likely within the year) include replacing a laminate kitchen counter and tile backsplash and a complete gut and redo of a small (about 5X7) ensuite bathroom. In the bathroom we are looking to install ceramic tile flooring (hexigonal shaped) ceramic subway tile shower surround and wainscotting height around the rest of the bathroom. We also want to install a large tub-sized shower (rather than a tub) new toilet, sink, light fixtures etc. Our house needs a lot of work! also on the eventual list are the addition of a bathroom in the basement (i believe the rough in is there), re-do of a powder room and new flooring throughout. I am looking for actual in person estimates for the most accurate quotes possible.

Replace Exterior Load-Bearing Post
An exterior wooden post, located to the rear of our home, which is bearing the weight of the second storey of our house, has split over the winter and appears to be collapsing. The damage and movement of the post has caused the metal encasing to split open. On initial inspection it appears that the post may have sustained some water damage internally, may possibly be rotting and may be the cause of the split. However, we are not certain about this fact without a complete removal of the metal casing. Our home is approx. 7 years old and the post would likely have been installed in the 7.5 to 8 -year time frame. We are looking for a contractor to provide an estimate to replace this post. We need this to be completed as soon as possible, since we are concerned about further movement and potential damage to our second-storey.
