Review Posted by Robert & Diana

Looking for a local contractor to re-do our second bathroom completely, we were pleasantly surprised and impressed to find in Aurora, Stillwaters Kitchen & Bath Showroom that carries exceptional, high end fixtures and cabinets. From our first visit, the Staff impressed us with their courtesy and professionalism and after consultation, a detailed, accurate estimate. All aspects of the job were meticulously explained as well as relevant suggestions offered and once Team Stillwaters received the go ahead, they have been beyond perfect, communicating with us constantly and treating a small job that involved some custom made improvements, as if it were their own . The job was finished on time and within the budget and the end result is amazing !...more

David did a fantastic job on our tiny condo kitchen. We needed to meet a specific deadline and he worked with us on that as well as our budget. The customized sizes that were utilizing every inch and the high quality material (ex. pull-out drawers in the pantry) allowed us to fit everything into our new kitchen that is half the size from our kitchen in the old house. Originally we thought that the new kitchen would be for show only, but thank you David for making sure that we can actually use it and not depriving us from the home-cooked meals!

Patios & Trees
Hi, I looking at building a patio in the back yard. One problem is a rather large maple tree about two feet from the edge of one side and I get a lot of flack when I mention cutting it down. So I'm keeping the tree. What I need to do is change the edge near the tree and make it go around in a semi circle. I'm wondering how close I can come to the tree with the patio? Keeping in mind that will need to dig down six to eight inches to do my foundation. Thanks Brian

Farrow & Ball - not what you pay for!!
I just want to vent my frustrations (and opinion) on F&B paint. We have been completing a basement project for a client, and they insisted that we use F&B paint. This was the first time we used this paint. I thought ok, an expensive paint should be good right.....not a chance. I've been painting for the better part of 10 years. I've tried almost every paint out there, from cheap to expensive, and I have landed on Ben/moore Aura as my paint of choice (some call this an expensive paint). Let me tell you about F&B, first of all the stuff comes out of the can like sour milk, no pouring, glopping. So one thinks that a thick paint should cover well. Not the case. We had to paint every surface 3 times to get a decent finish. Normally when you paint you get a good 90%+ coverage with the first coat. Not with F&B, we got 60% at best. Now let's talk about price, there is different pricing based on the finish, starting from aboiut $80 to $100 per gallon, and more if you want to use their primer. For the price this paint is not even close to being worth it. The advantages that this paint has is....it's environmentally friendly. That's it. period. As for being a good quality paint, I don't think so. I'm sticking with my good old reliable Ben/Moore Aura. P.S. if you do have a client that insists on using F&B paints, expect to add 25% more paint and 50% more time. Good Luck

I tried that paint once and no doubt about it it does suck. I find you need at least 2 coats of primer in order to get it to work right. I had this happen to me as the customer bought the paint what a mess
