Zzone Homes Inc - located in Burlington
Review Posted by Laura
I have had Marco from Zzone Homes Inc. do several jobs for me around my house and he has also done larger scale work for my parents when they recently had a flood in their home. He and his employees are extremely polite, dependable and their work is of the highest quality. They will do any size job and their work is guaranteed. I would not hesitate, in any way, to recommend Zzone Homes Inc. for any contracting jobs, big or small, that you may have around your home and will continue to use this company for any work that may need to be done on our home.

Repairing a half done garage
Our garage in a recently bought home (burlington ontario) is a half done mess...
Messures approx. 10 x 10 x 20 long, single car (though to small for my SUV to fit without a lot of patience with one door, window and the fuse box. Sunk in garage under a pair of bedrooms...
I'm looking into getting a new garage door that is insulated to warm the garage and fit better (we've had mice get in from the current door that sits angled)
What I wondering is what sort of cost I'd be looking at to fix up the garage interior...
TO BE CLEAR I WANT TO:
- gut out the outside wall and back wall (currently with some 70s wood paneling and not insulation)
- build out the frame so we can fully insulate and weatherize those two walls
- patch up and repair the interior wall (which is insulated but has seen its share of age (holes along the bottom of the walls, back is open where piping was pulled into the laundry room inside the basement, etc
- either gut and reinsulate/patch the ceiling (or just repatch)
My main reasons for this job (along with getting the new garage door set up) is to 1.) control temperature and moisture better so that the rooms are better above the garage (freezing in winter, boiling in summer) and 2.) create a tight barrier from the garage to the home interior to block from further rodent attacks.
Any idea of what i'm looking at would be very helpful in budgeting...

Hi Todd Sounds like you'd like to update your garage to todays, standards. I would peg the garage make over and winterproffing, including new insulated door, at $30-40 per sqft, includeds all works, up to priming of the walls, Interior of the garage only, no exterior work allotted.
