The Latest Reviews for Contractors in London

3.5 Star RatingCorner Gas Heating & Cooling Inc. - located in London
Review Posted by maria

Corner gas replaced ac and heating and had a crew of five men but missed some items. The night after furnace was installed there was a loud exploding noise in the basement. They came out that night but it scared myself and my five year old son. A month later there was some noise every time the furnace turned. They came out and it took three hours to replace the old gas line and install a new part on a month old machine. I would not hire this company again.

4.5 Star RatingJKS Custom - located in London
Review Posted by Polly

Friendly and Helpful, JKS was able to do the requested work and went the extra mile. They improved our house in many ways and we are happy with the final product. They were very knowlegeable when asked questions about "old house" issues. We will use them again.

1 Star RatingBB-Design & Build - located in London
Review Posted by Rebecca

Leo Belair came across as knowledgeable and very nice. Once we paid the deposit for our bathroom renovation we had to wait for weeks for him to get started, he then tried to fit us in between all his other jobs and would forget to call us back for days on end. We had to live in a disaster zone for weeks because of broken promises. The shower ended up cracking (tile grout) and leaked underneath which is being fixed now by a competent contractor. Leo is not licenced and not insured.

Removing Tub Surround
A few years ago I had a 3 piece Tub Suround kit glued directly over the old tile and now hate it. Is there anyway I can remove it without completely damaging the tile underneath so I can go back to what I originally had? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The Latest Reply

If it was installed properly then you will have damage to your existing tiles. The surrounds are glued in place and it is very hard to get off, especially from the grout.

Floors not level
Previous owners jacked up middle of house now one side is lower. How do I make a 5 degree droop even?

The Latest Reply

Hi Leo I am currently working on a similar problem. Self leveling products were not applicable to this situation as it was a very large area and the finished floors had to be removed anyways. We removed the finished floor and subfloor to expose the floor joists underneath. We then used a laser level to acertain where the level floor should be brought up to. As the existing floor joists were in good condition, we tapered 2x to be attached to the floor joists to level off the joists. We then laminated plywood on each side of the the taper and existing joist for stability and attached new 3/4 plywood on top ready for new hardwood flooring. The floor is now level. Hope this helps.
