The company name is Tru Contracting, It is owned by Richard Ure. We hired him in middle of November 2011 and he said he could do my kitchen reno and powder room by Dec.14, 2011. It is now Jan. 30, 2012 and things are a mess. He kept telling us it was his cabinet person who was holding things up and how he paid him to much up front, Before Christmas we did get the casing for cabinet work and granite counters. On December 23, he asked for another check so my husband said we will pay the amount of the granite. Richard Ure and his 2 person crew showed up after Christmas but kept just sanding and plastering, then painting the same spots over everyday. Finally Dec 29,, or 30 my husband said don't come back until the cabinets are ready. Early January ...more

It is a bit like saying "how much is a car?" It depends a lot on the level of finish inside and out. For a nicely finished home, hardwood, ceramic tile floors, good cabinets with granite counters, stucco exterior, etc. you could budget $200 per square foot, including builders profit. Murray Bell Thor Developments inc. CalgaryHi. We recently bought a house which included a renovated bathroom including a tub and wall liner. I'm used to tiles so I think it's really plain and boring-looking and would like to spruce it up somehow. Is there anything I can do for the walls other than buy decals? Could I still put tile on it or would that just defeat the purpose of the liner? Thanks, Marlies

Marlies, I wouldn't put tile on it as it probably flexes too much. The tile or grout would crack, leak and get mouldy. Go to your local professional paint shop (not Home Depot) and ask about paint that will stick to your liner. Its probably ABS plastice but you will need to have someone check to make sure.
