Beware! We had lots of problems with this company. Service was lousy, design specs were off, based on designer's instructions we paid to have additional systems and electrical work done which we had to remove and patch up, then on installation day, more problems because it wasn't installed according to design, and was left unfinished, installers didn't have sufficient knowledge or information about the design, and made extra holes in shelves to install, for some reason they decided to ignore us and it took over 5 months before someone came in to fix it. Bad service, bad everything! Stay away!

Heating ducts that BANG 2 times during heating cycle in home
We have a 20 year old home that has a finished basement with 2 main trunks running directly through the middle area of our home basement. During the initial heating stage, within 20 minutes, there is a loud bang that sounds like the metal flexing and hitting the floor joists, etc. After the heating cycle, as the duct cools, the same bang happens again. Every time the heating comes on or off, this same event takes place. Is there anything we can do about this? At 3am it is quite loud and wakes the whole house!

Thank you guys, Trouble with these is one, all the areas are drywalled, two, the furnace is multi-stage so air volume would not be great enough to flex the ducts. I can hear when it changes speeds and when high speed kicks in, it makes no difference... oh yeah, when I cool the house, the ducts make no noise, only heating, so that tells me the ducts, joints, supports, etc are expanding and moving around... Seems as though the only option is forget it or open the ceiling spaces around the ducts.

Feedback for bad customers registered here
One thing I am not sure of on this site would be the customers who create a hard time for contractors unnecessarily. Customers can leave feedback about us as registered contractors, but where can we voice our concerns about customers that treat us unfairly and to warn other contractors to avoid them? Customers who change their minds after contracts are written, customers who refuse payment because something they misunderstood and blame us, customers who are not home to let us in when promised after driving 45 minutes to do work.... etc etc. I am not looking to create a rude finger pointing..a "he said, she said" forum, but if Joe does work for Jane and Joe is not happy, nor Jim, or John, or Jack, shouldn't the next contractor be warned about the difficult times Jane has created?

I have had only one client not pay. It was after a basement renovation. I had purchased everything and did the install as requested. When finished the project the client simply said! I did not want all that !!!! I am not paying one penny! I now do contracts on evey project, detailed contracts, and have a signature for any changes. That was 9 years ago and I have not had one issue to date. CYA And you will never have an issue. Discuss, understand, put in a contract. Best regards Robert W.
