Finding the Right Contractor in St. John's

At the very eastern edge of Canada, St. John's residents see the sun rise every morning well before the rest of the country feels the morning. For 400 years it was the capital of the cod fishing industry and suffered economic decline when the fishery was shut down in 1992. Shipping, mining and tourism were instrumental in keeping the economy going and now the oil and gas industry has turned Newfoundland into an energy dynamo,

The emergence of the oil industry has caused a building boom in this part of Newfoundland and new home building contractors are busy. In addition, the home renovation industry has never busier. In the past Newfoundland exported tradespeople to the west. However, with the building industry picking up in St. John's many of these skilled craftsmen and women are coming back home to get work in new home construction.

At 185,000 people, St. John's is expected to hit the 1,000,000 mark in less than five years. And this is good news for new homebuilders
