5 Star RatingA - List Reno's - located in Surrey
Review Posted by Pat & Gerry

We hired Greg to do some cabinet updates in our kitchen. He started off by offering up some good insight to the job. We were impressed with all aspects of his work .... from the professional quote he gave, the preparation before coming on site, the steps he took to keep the rest of our home clean, the attention to detail and the impeccable clean up end of the job! Greg is a very pleasant hard working contractor & we would happily recommend his workmanship to others.

5 Star RatingSunnymede Holdings - located in Surrey
Review Posted by Lori

This is the first home that we built. Steve and his crew from Sunnymede were very helpful from the very beginning to the very end. We appreciated their professionalism, the ability to stick to their schedule and deal with any problems that arose, as well as their input. Steve was open to our suggestions and tried to make them work as best he could. If he knew it wouldn't work, he told us so, which normally turned out to be the best decision. If we were to build again, we would not hesitate to ask Steve and his guys to build our next one too!

5 Star RatingA - List Reno's - located in Surrey
Review Posted by Patti

Greg Huot of A - List Reno's has worked for us twice. Two years ago, he updated our 20 year old bathroom and has just completed a major renovation of the kitchen. Greg is a reliable, organized, honest, tidy and hard-working general contractor who kept on budget and on schedule. He provided support and ideas while helping us select cabinets, tiles and granite.... Now, our kitchen is beautiful and everything works well. Greg displayed great carpentry skills, paid attention to detail and was a creative problem solver while completing our project. We were impressed by his skills, work habits and genuine personality and would recommend him to anyone who needs a great general contractor! Patti and Paul, South Surrey

Staining My Deck
Last summer I built a large deck in my backyard using pressure treated wood. This spring I would like to stain the wood however I'm not sure if I'm required to sand the wood first before applying the stain or can i just use a pressure washer to remove the dirt, let it dry and apply the stain? Because of the size of the deck there would be a lot of work involved to sand down the railings. I would prefer to avoid sanding but want the best results that will last the longest. What is the best approach to staining a deck for the first time? Looking forward to some helpful suggestions...thanks!

Hi Lucas If the surface of your deck is nice and smooth, without chips, it is ok to just preshure wash, lett it dry for 2-3 days and stain. Have funn Branko

Renovation of Ceilings
I have some popcorn ceilings that I would like removed and flat ceilings installed. How much would it cost for a 2000 sqft condo removal of popcorn and installation of flat?

The Latest Reply

Depending on the age of the condo- this is something you could do yourself, Craig. Try a test area first- run your finger or scraper over the popcorn - if it falls easily the ceiling has never been painted. You should then be able to use a spray bottle of water to moisten - not soak, the popcorn. Give it a minute, then, using a 4 or 5 inch scraper, remove the popcorn. Even if the ceiling has been painted at least once, you should still be able to scrape it. Once scraped, use a pole sander to smooth things over, then 2 coats ceiling paint & you are done. If you are not up to this task, most painting companies would be able to help - it should run much cheaper than replacement. Good luck
