Basement finish + bathroom installation April 2012 We had a very good experience with Dmitry: First to respond to our post, creative solutions, fair price, punctual, polite, reliable, on site every day, quick to respond via email, easy-going, flexible, quality workmanship, project came in on time & on budget. We would hire him again and have already recommended him to a couple of people.

Dmitry worked for me as a subcontractor on a million dollar master suite remodel. His work was impeccable, especially considering the rock bottom price he quoted me to do the work. Whenever I need assistance or guidance on an aspect of the project he was extremely knowledgeable and didn't consider nickle and dimming me for his advice and experience. I would highly recommend Dmitry for any of your upcoming projects without hesitation and I will be using him on my next project. So, make sure to give him plenty of notice or he may already be booked.

Support or Load beam main floor
I bought a house not knowing that a big support or structural or load beam will be put accros my living and dining room through the kitchen, the beam is place horizontally once you enter the front door. My ceiling is only 8 ft and the beam is showing lower than the ceiling, it makes my ceiling more lower.
I talked to the builder to flush or hide the ceiling just like the model house. I was told from the decor that it cannot be done because they used different materials.
How much it will cost me to hire a structural engineer to fix it? My house will be finished on July 2012.

Hi Mike, We had a meeting with the construction engineer that building our house, yesterday Apr 17th and I prayed that God will touch their hearts. I am very Blessed that they are fixing and hiding the support beam inside the ceiling, just like we requsted in the first place. Now I can say that we will be a happy home owner. Thank you all for your help, CateThe Latest Reply
Hi Ryan, If this ever happens to you again try and have your engineer review the building and as long as the owner has approved the engineer to inspect the building. The engineer can condenm the building if he or she see's that it is unsafe. The engineer would also send a letter to the city as well. I have done this a few of time. Mostly to churches because there steeples where going to fall over. We then had to remove them and rebuild them but that's a different story. Stay safe, Mike
