Estate Restoration and Refinishing was originally registered in Ottawa, Ontario. in 1996.

I provide client satisfaction first and foremost.

As a finish carpenter and finishing work specialist my job is to make the doors, windows and cabinets work, and to make the architectural detail of the house look fantastic.

Finish work is more than interior trim. It includes flooring, back splash, paint, closet organization and even decking -- anything the owner will see or feel after moving in. Finish carpentry is meticulous in nature and requires patience and a steady hand.

I do everything it takes to bring a project from sheet rock and tile to paint and doorknobs and am constantly aware of the needs of the other trades relating to the things they must do to finish. I provide oversight that eliminates the need for the customer to be concerned and allows you to just be ready to enjoy the results!

My specialties include;
stone and tile work, mosaics, baseboard, trim, bead board, wainscot paneling, pocket doors, window trim, wooden shelves, custom closet organization systems, window seats, stairs, interior doors, crown moldings, plaster molding installation and detail restoration of heritage buildings.

As Owner, Operator and Manager I oversee all aspects of my business personally from ensuring all operations run efficiently, supervision of employees and co-op students, purchasing of supplies and equipment, personal selling and decisions affecting my clients.

In my business I strive to provide environmentally conscious finish carpentry, antique refinishing, cabinetry manufacture and architectural restoration in the Halifax area.

I have an established reputation for expedient and excellent work and consistently maintained a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.

Some of my prominent business clients included Boyd Moving and Storage, Atlas Van Lines, Mayflower Van Lines, United Van Lines, Bytown Catering, various Government Departments, several Real Estate Agents and Companies.

But my most important clients are families - just like yours and mine.

In 2004 my wife , who works for a major bank, was transfered to Halifax .

Since that time I have continued with my business in finish carpentry / architectural detail yet have been selective with the clients and jobs that I chose as I had also accepted a position with a financial institution in Dartmouth.

I have since realized that my true love is finish carpentry. As such I am currently accepting new clients in the Halifax area and would be happy to provide referrals and come by for a free consultation at your convenience.
