Calado and Lima fully renovated my home which we purchased from them before the rennovations were fully complete. They are in the business of flipping homes and renovating. They committed to coming back after closing to finish and fix what ever wasn't completed or what ever needed repair. The real estate agent who represented both parties vouched for them, and so we took their word for it. Although they visited my home on several occasions to complete and rectify some of the work, I got the run-a-round from them for 5 months. Some of the deficincies included a gas leak from an improperly installed gas range which could have cost us our home, not to mention our lives. The remaining deficiencies that they agreed to resolve were the poor installation of wood floor in a bedroom, lifting boards needs to be re-installed. According to Caladao and Lima, the nail gun ran out of nails, they admitted to being at fault for poor installation. Limestone/Travertine floor in the master bath needs to be resurfaced due to improper sealing; they were to strip the floor and were waiting for proper striper to come in. In April I was told by Jose Calado of Calado and Lima that they will no longer honour their commitment in rectifying the remaining 2 deficiencies, due to the fact that I have asked them to take responsibility for the water damages that happened on Monday April 26 caused by Jose Calado not installing the dish washer properly, more specifically the connection of the draining hose. This caused water damage to the kick plates and molding of the kitchen cabinets and damage to the basement floor. Jose Calado was rude and very disrespectful on the phone and stated that I am asking for too much and will get nothing more. I have since emailed them twice confirming my understanding of our phone conversation and have not received a reply. I have also involved the Better Business Bureau to which they did not reply to, and the complaint is now in the hands of the Ministry of Consumers Services.

We hired the Calado and Lima company to renovate our kitchen last Spring and are truly amazed and extremely happy with the results. Our neighbour across the street gave us their contact info and we are so grateful for their referral. We know that they hired them to do their daughter's apartment reno in Spain and flew them there for the job, so we knew that they must have been really good and it was indeed true. We will be happy to show our before and after pics of our kitchen if anyone would like to see them :)

Calado & Lima did extensive renovations on our home in 2006 and 2007 -- three bathrooms, kitchen, living room, family room and four bedrooms. We were very happy with the work they did. Their work is of the highest quality and completed in the time promised. I recommend Marco and his staff to any of my friends that are considering renovations in their home.
