We recently had the Paco team complete some renovations for us and were very happy with thier attention to detail, workmanship and overall product.
The ensuite renovation was very nice and this room has never looked this good. The repair to the leak in our garage was investigated, repaired and the ceiling restored like it was never an issue.
Pavle was great to work with and has good construction knowledge. Steve was pleasent, and communicated with us through the project, answering questions and responding to our concerns.

I had a bathroom renovation completed by PACO over a year ago. Initially I was extremely pleased with the outcome. It looked beautiful however, there was a problem with the tub. It was not properly installed and had a great deal of movement. This resulted in a significant leak into my downstairs bathroom that was only about a year old at the time and ruined the ceiling tiles above the sink. After a few visits by Pavle and Steve to diagnose the issue, it was determined the tub needed to be removed and reinstalled properly. They assured me it would be corrected and the ruined tiles would be replaced and repeatedly said their work is guaranteed for five years. The reinstall was completed but some fix ups needed to be done. There is grout that needs to be fixed up, there is caulking that needs touch ups, there is an area where the grout was missed altogether and the ceiling tiles in the downstairs bathroom still needed to be replaced. Some time ago a member of the team, Brad, came to review the outstanding work, took one of the damaged tiles for a sample and said he would call me to set up a time to complete the work. I have not heard from anyone since. I have sent three messages recently with no response.

We are extremely pleased with the work recently completed by Paco Construction. The work was completed within the designated time frame, in an efficient and tidy manner, with the tradesmen protraying professional work ethics and fast service. I was impressed with the original diagnosis of the structural problems that we had with the house, as we have had many workmen in the past not being able to solve the leakage issues in our roof, and an extremely uneven ceiling in the lounge. However a new chimney saddle, and resilient ceiling channels solved the problems, without reroofing. My husband and I have a lot of confidence in this company, not only because of our experience, but because they have a good skills base within their workers, ranging from certified tradesmen to an architectural background in an employee, resulting in accurate diagnosis of problems as well as a committment to have all their work up to "code".

The PACO team was warm and friendly. There was a lot of brainstorming in the beginning that required some sketching and drawing that Pavle and Steve happily drafted up. It is hard to see what your end state is going to look like so this really helped. Honesty and integrity are the two words I would use to describe Steve and Pavle. If anyone deals with contractors these days you know that this is not a common trait. If you would like to speak with me about PACO Construction please don't hesitate to ask the guys for a reference.

Paco construction did a great job finishing our bathroom in the basement. They were very knowledgeable and professional and helpful when it came to making decisions about what to do. Denny provided us with excellent workmanship and he made our bathroom look like "a million bucks." Thanks so much to you Denny, Steve and Pav. We are definitely enjoying having the bathroom finished for our girls near their play room. Our 5 year old still loves it!!! and is still refusing to use the bathroom anywhere else in the house! HA!HA! SO it's a thumbs up from your toughest critic!!!! Thanks again! Take care!

Paco construction was a great company to work with. There was great communication usually in the form of emails to let me know when things would be happening and why things were delayed. The workers were very courteous and they left my completely garage very clean and tidy. The garage itself looks well built.

We hired Paco Construction to do some work on the outside of our house and weren't sure what to expect (we got the name from an outdoor sign in our neighbourhood). I was impressed by how quickly and courteously Pavle responded to my requests at every step of the process. He showed up the day he said they would (on time!) during both the quoting stage and when he was scheduled to start the job. The detailed written quote was greatly appreciated (as we recently had a terrible incident with a different subcontractor that resulted in so much stress / hassle due to "he said / she said" verbal disagreements). Pavle was very personable and I felt comfortable trusting him to complete the work while we weren't home. The project was completed exactly as specified with no cost overruns and was ahead of schedule. Pavle called to arrange a day that I would be home to review the work with him, at which time he showed me everthing that was done and asked if I was satisfied with the quality of the work (which I certainly was!).
Paco Construction did a fantastic job, and just as important, lived up to what they promised. We have worked with many contractors over the past year and these guys are top of the list! I highly recommend.

I was a bit apprehensive in hiring a contractor to finish my basement; however I am pleased to comment on the renovations that Paco Construction did at my home. These guys have done an excellent job! They were extremely professional and my basement was done in a neat and timely fashion.
They were very flexible in accommodating my time line; I needed the renovations done as soon as possible. Every night I would check on the progress of the work, I was always amazed at how fast they performed and how neat and clean the place was after they had finished the job.
I am extremely satisfied with the work. Im a perfectionist by nature and these guys have outdone themselves. There is nothing that I criticize on.
I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to do any work to their home. I have future renovations for other parts of my house and I will not call anyone else but Paco Construction.
You guys are awesome!

Hello, I am writing because I am extremely pleased with what happened because of a 'blind' call I made to PACO Construction. I sat at home, shaking my head on November 18th 2009. For the past 18 months I had two different contractors. Maddelena Contracting, which did such a poor job of my master bath and never returned to 'fix' the mess; and 8 months later, Mark Emery, who repaired the mess (sort of) and began to renovate my main floor powder room. However, he proceeded to 'walk away' from the job leaving my main level as mess. Let me say that the second contractor did an 'okay' job, but still did not complete the main bath and can not manage his time properly. "I'll be there tomorrow" is a classic line. But he never showed up 'tomorrow'. His 'word' was meaningless.
I was disillusioned by these contractors and the industry as a whole. I had 18 months to finish projects for an Energy Audit, and I was in tears due to the fact that these contractors did not have "me", the customer in mind. I work ridiculous hours, was never home to 'monitor' progress and 'trusted' these men. On Nov 18th I made a call to PACO Construction. Pavle Blair answered and I explained what was going on. However, one of my first statements was: Do you have the 'time' to commit to this job. With that, a meeting was set for the following Monday. Pavle Blair and Steve Meszaros showed up promptly at the time arranged. They took notes and heard all my concerns and viewed the scope of the job at hand. Within a few days, I had a quote and a signed contract stating the start date. I was excited! The professionalism of the gentlemen was evident. As the start date approached, I couldn't help but wonder..... would they be here on Dec 7th? WELL.... they arrived that day and finished the job within the allotted time frame. I do know that at one point there were two gentlemen working in my home, but I only met one of them by the name of Denny McKneller. I believe he did the majority of the work in my home and what wonderful work he did!! I am so very pleased. I happen to be home ill one day and watched him work - thorough, tidy, conscientious. Most of the week I was not home while he was there, and one of my concerns was not only the quality of the workmanship, but also the possibility of my DOG escaping while people were coming and going from my home! My dog 'escaped' twice before and there could have been dire consequences then. Fortunately, the fellows of PACO knew to be especially careful when opening a door! Needless to say neither the Quality of workmanship or loosing my dog was a concern. I am pleased beyond words. I shall say again, their quality of work, professionalism, promptness, communication and cleanliness separate them from the rest. They stand behind their work and are ACCOUNTABLE. It is a far cry from the first two companies I hired. I am so pleased, I am having Pavle quote on my basement renovation to begin sometime in 2010. I'd like to finish by saying that I am happy to speak with anyone who needs confirmation of what I have written. My email address is: sheila@tsswoundcare.com and I shall answer any questions you may have.
Merry Christmas and Happy renovating,

I had some work done at my house in the last few weeks by Paco Construction and I am happy to say that they did a great job and completed the work on time. When I first went through the contractors list and saw that Paco Construction had a 5 star rating I was still not confident with that. Once I had met with them for the first time, and talked to them, thats when I felt more secure and confortable with them. They seemed profesional and very pleasent.
Once They had an estimate ready for me they came out and sat down with me and went over all the details. This Is great. More contractors need to follow the way these guys do buisness.
I recomend Paco Construction to everyone who would like a great job, done right. I would be happy to use them again, Also the crew working in my house was just as great, very nice guys. they all deserve a 10. The quality of work was great they used quality products and now that i see the finished project i think they should have charged me more. (but they didn't)!
Thanks Paco Construction!

I had an emergency with my rental property in Hamilton. I had a shower that was leaking and consequently part of the ceiling in the hallway underneath the washroom collapsed. I was so nervous picking a contractor as honesty and quality aren't always a priority for many in the trade. I am very pleased to share that Paco Construction was nothing like the rest. They arrived on time, very courteous, knowledgeable and within my budget. They completed work in my washroom and hallway ceiling. I am so thrilled with their work and plan on having them back to complete additional work in the house and personal office. If you want the job done right look no farther...I am pleased to recommend them for all your construction needs.

My husband and I have just completed a major home renovation using Paco Construction. We had our kitchen completely gutted and they were able to disassemble and re-assemble our old kitchen cabinets (including the granite) in our basement storage room and our garage. Even my original wall oven was installed in the basement storage room to have as an extra oven for entertaining.
Work included tearing up the existing ceramic tile, tearing down and replacing the ceiling in the kitchen, powder room, pantry and mudroom. Walls were knocked out to accommodate a butler's pantry accessible from the kitchen. Doors were removed and made into archways. Brand new electrical and light fixtures were installed throughout.
What started out as a pretty simple job ended up growing and growing with unforseen complications such as moving plumbing and venting etc. Nothing was ever a problem for them. Even with quite a bit of extra work, they still managed to keep to the completion schedule. When it was necessary, they worked late, even some weekends as needed. We were extremely impressed.
My husband and I are both from construction backgrounds. From the first time we met Pav and Steve when they submitted their proposal, to the last and final invoice, we were very iimpressed with their professionalism. Not only in their written submissions but in their whole manner and organization. They and their crew were courteous and helpfull every step of the way.
We are more than happy to recommend Paco Construction to our friends and associates.

My wife and I hired PACO Construction to complete a number of miscellaneous projects around our home, including: drywall work, installing a new junction box and chandelier in our dining room and a custom laundry room cabinet and counter. We interviewed a number of Contractors to get quotes and figure out who we would want to work with. During our first meeting with Pavle and Steve, we were very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. They provided us with a detailed written quote and an estimate on schedule and kept to this so that there were no hidden surprises. During the project they were accommodating to our requests and questions and genuinely wanted us to be happy with the end results this made us feel very comfortable working with them and showed they have pride in their work! All of the members of their team were very courteous and respectful to us and our home! A number of the projects have been fully completed; however, because we werent able to get the light fixture on time they were not able to complete all of the work during their first visits. They were very understanding of the delays and even kept in touch with us in the following weeks to see when we would need them to come back out to our house (they are coming back out tomorrow)! One of the biggest things that impressed us was the extras that they did during the job. If they noticed something that they could do easily to improve the project, or even something elsewhere in the house they would include it in their work (included a bit of extra drywall repair, replacing a metal cap in our living room ceiling with a more attractive white one, etc.)! Overall everything worked out above our expectations! We would certainly recommend PACO Construction for your project.

I hired Paco Construction to put a dormer on my bathroom. I have to say after all of the horror stories I heard about contractors I was very reluctant even to have one come into my house. I was browsing the websites and came across the Canadian home Contractors website. I submitted a description of the job I wanted done and my phone started ringing. After interviewing and reviewing a lot of quotes we decided to give the project to Paco construction. I liked the way they made an appointment with us to sit us down and explain the quote to us and show us their ideas that we hadn't even thought of. As soon as the permit was ready, they were down here starting work. As expected with these older homes there were a few unexpected nasty surprises, but they were quickly taken care of with minimal cost to us and they did many extra things that were not in the contract that they did not charge us for, but saved us a lot of money down the road by doing it. When I came home from work I would be absolutley astonished at the amount of work they would accomplish in one day. My husband is retired and is home all day. He would tell me how hard they worked trying to finish it for us knowing that we only have one bathroom. Some nights they even stayed later than their normal schedule to get it done faster. The job is now complete and in a fraction of the time that they quoted us. It is beautiful. My bathroom is now a much larger size and I couldn't be happier. They cleaned up after the job and left no trace of even being here. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I would not hesitate to have them back into my home for any work. They are a pleasure to have around and will explain everything about the reno that you want to know. If I had to rate them from 1 to 10 I would rate them a 10++. I hope this will assist anyone who is out there trying to choose a contractor. I hope this will also help Canadian Home Contractors in establishing a rating for them. They deserve it !!!!.
