As of today, April 20, 2010, Lakewood Home Improvements has not finished my bathroom project started July 17, 2009. Vahe Gazarian has repeatedly demanded payments that are not due. In addition, I have had to personally pay for materials and labour costs that Lakewood Home Improvements could not pay for. I've had subcontracters calling and emailing me for payments. Today Vahe Gazarian has written that Lakewood Home Improvements is putting a lein on my home because, they claim, I am overdo on payments, when I have personnaly covered thousands of dollars of costs. Stay clear of Lakewood Home Improvements, Vahe Gazarian, and his partner Maria Ioannou.

I would like to clarify the review by Barbara Kennedy.The contract was signed on July 17th 2009, the work did not commence until October the 5th 2009. She was told that we would not be avaliable until mid september - she was fine with that because she said it gave her time to clear out the rooms. The physical work did not commence until October the 5th was because we need to obtain permits to remove the wall partioning the room which was a supporting wall - engineering reports, architectual drawings etc. - Her project was not a bathroom renovation but far more extensive - we created a brand ensuite bathroom, renovated her current bathroom, changed all the doors, new baseboards etc. She failed to pay when payment was due on several occasions and decided she would pay for things and bill us - to aviod paying the contractors fee. Ms Kennedy has broken the terms of her contract and we are using legal recourse in persuant to the terms of the contract. Please remove her post. Thank you.
