Implementation of project with a great attention to detail the high level of professionalism

We had Max work on our two upstairs bathroom in the fall and the winter and he did a really good job. He's reliable, upfront, and profession.

I gave max my home renovation project in summer 2012 and I was extremely satisfied with quality of his service,whereas he was always easy to reach and find and use the best materials.

although it was quiet a big project (hardwood floors,bathroom,roof and painting) he stayed in budget and finished the job on time.

I hired Maxx for some renovation work at our place and I am happy to say that he did a very thorough job. He not only put on the hardwood and tiles as part of the contract, he actually helped me pick up the hardwood that I had purchased from Home Depot at NO extra cost! He gave us proper advice on exactly what and how much to buy but never influenced our decision. The tiles installation work in our kitchen and bathroom were not only professional but done such that it didn’t interrupt our usage so we were able to carry on with our life. He worked with our schedule, respected our privacy and cleaned the house once done. Not withstanding the professional work, he charged way less than what we were quoted by other contractors.

We hired Victoria Homes to finish our basement project. The job they did was very professional. Max, the owner of Victoria Homes, was very accessible-answered phone calls himself. He consulted us throughout the process of finishing our basement and paid a close attention to our concerns to make us happy. All his employees were professional and they left the job site very clean, at the end. They finished the job on time and budget. Couple of weeks after the project was done, Max called back to make sure every thing is working properly, the way we wanted. We will definitely call him back, and highly recommend his services.

We would never recommend using Victoria Home Improvements. Max (owner ) charged way too much for his poor workmanship.

We hired him to re-do our bathroom. I should have known better, when his references were 1st name only….probably all relatives of his.

Below is a list of problems:

He damaged the maple hardwood flooring in front of the bathroom, because he did not protect it when he was working.

He installed a new light fixture that was centered above the sink before the renovations and was totally off-center once he installed the new one. My husband fixed it….the back-plate holding the fixture was installed upside down…should not happen with an experienced contractor.

I bought an expensive shampoo dispenser/soap dispenses…it fell off the wall the day I filled it, because it was not only glued, not screwed, as was recommended by the manufacturer.

The 1st time I took a bath in my newly installed bathtub, water leaked through the floor into the basement, because Max neglected to connect/seal the drainage overflow pipe.

The unusual large gap between bottom row of tiles and the bathtub was filled with grout which is now full of mildew. I can put my finger through the corner, because the grout is basically non-existing in those spots. Again, not sure why an experienced contractor would not know how to install tiles properly and end up with such a big gap.

We did not call him back to fix any of the problems (other than the soap dispenser), because we do not have any confidence in his work. I just wish someone would have been honest about his qualifications before we hired him. As mentioned above, he was quite expensive.

This company was able to meet my needs. I wanted a fence built in my backyard so I hired a contractor but there were some issues that caused him to leave the job. I found out that it was because of a hydro issue. I called Victoria homes and explained my situation. Despite the hydro issues, I got the legal permit from the city for them to to dig and they got around the hydro problem by using safe alternative measures. The fence was a success and finally I have privacy now since my backyard faces an elementary school yard.

We had our basement finished, including the installation of a 3 piece bathroom,and we love it! The workmanship from top to bottom is excellent. We were very particular at times, and Max accommodated us, without a problem. Max was always available for discussion. We arranged for electrical, building and plumbing inspection; and all were passed. Being new to such an undertaking, we were a little nervous, but working with Max alleviated that stress. Max is honest and trustworthy. Working with Max was pleasure. We highly recommend Victoria Homes.

Victoria Homes completed bathroom and kitchen tle renovations which were fabulous. The completely new bathroom and kitchen floor were contributing factors that led to the extremely quick sale of my home. Max (the contractor) is very courteous and meticulous, what I found most refreshing was his honesty. The job that needed to be done was discussed and agreed upon with a handshake. He completely re-modeled the bathroom, updating it to present day standard of 2011, removing that 70's theme. His friendly demeanour and excellent work resulted in employing him to complete several other tasks to include installation of entry doors and repair of tile on the mantle of fireplace. His time and effort were very well appreciated. He proved to be honest, trusting, affordable and a man of his word. when a need to purchase a storm door occurred, he procurred a door that was reaonalbe and very funtional as well as securing a saving for the cost of the door. It is the honesty that sets him aside from others. I will recommend him to others as he stands by his work, He is a profesional, couteous contractor who does excellent work.

Max at Victoria Home Construction was excellent to deal with. He was always prompt, courteous, thorough, and his priority is to please his clients. He was always reachable to discuss any issues, and dealt with all challenges directly and personally. We had an entire basement finished, including bathroom, by him and his workers. Everything was on schedule (including allowing for flexibility to allow me to do some of the work myself) and on budget without any compromise.

I would highly recommend Max for professional work, thoroughness, good quality, and a client-oriented focus.

His quote was accurate. Everything went as planned and on schedule, no surprises and no mess left behind. He guaranteed his work, because he knew his job. The result of his job was a renovation that exceeded our expectations. Our only regret is that we did not call Victoria Homes sooner! I had a basement shower that needed to be completed. Max was one of many contractors to come and view the job. He gave me his price right away, while the other contractors had me waiting over 2 weeks for their price. Max came to do the job when he said he would. He is extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job. Max kept the work area clean at all times. He guaranteed his work, because he knows the job is done right.

Very competent and pleasant. A small but complicated modification that involved some structural work and dry walling. All done quickly and efficiently.
