I have hired Michael for two projects, and with both projects I have been extremely satisfied. He is highly professional in all his dealings and especially in his work.
Nowadays, young entrepreneurs take clients for granted, but not Michael. He inspire trust, and a well-deserved one. So, I would recommend you give him a call for your needs, you won't be disappointed.

Michael completed our partially finished basement. I called him to give an estimate and he was very prompt in coming over to survey the job. His quote was very thorough and detailed. He pointed out issues with the basement that needed to be resolved (ie. electrical junction boxes), and offered to include his electrician in with the quote. In his quote he stated the project would be complete in 5 days, and Michael was complete in 5 days. He was very courteous and polite, and took the time to explain what he was doing. He made recomendations and included them at no additional charge. What was very impressive was that he called 1 week after completion to ensure we were happy and if he needed to come back for any touch ups. I would recomend Michael for any job, and will call hime again.

I utilized Mike/Touchwood for extensive renovations to my house when another contractor let me down by failing show up or respond to my calls. Mike and his team were efficient and worked well with other contractors I had on site. I have sinced used Mike for several other smaller jobs and will continue to do so as the work is always done as I expected on-time and on budget.
I have no issues recomending Mike and Touchwood for any job big or small

Michael did an excellent job at estimating the time and cost of the many projects that I gave him. His work is thorough and he noticed many construction errors from previous renovations to my present building. He is professional and always went above and beyond with his service. Most importantly, he completed the jobs on time!

We hired Touchwood Custom Solutions after looking at another job they had done and what the people who had hired them said about them. We had our kitchen cupboards and counter and back wall and flooring removed and then a new kitchen put in and laminate flooring going from the kitchen through the hall and down our front stairs to the landing. They did an excellent job and even went beyond what they were to do by moving the fridge and a hutch out of our kitchen. We called Michael when we went to look at cupboards, flooring and he came and met us at the stores and was the one who even went and picked up our flooring in his truck to save us the expense of having it delivered. They were here every day for the first 7 days and took all the refuse to the dump and vacuumed and cleaned up before they left, often late into the evening.
We would recommend Touchwood to anyone who has a small job that needs to be done to an extensive job.
To be honest, we would have left home for the time the job took and just given Michael the keys :)

Michael Cragg/Touchwood Custom Solutions worked on an addition/basement apartment for us ($40-50K). He took over the job from another contractor who had completely "messed up" the start of the project. There were many mistakes from the original contractor that Touchwood had to correct and work around that continually added to time & materials required. Michael was very considerate of our situation and absorbed many of the cost overruns as we were out of money. He took on our project with vigor and the majority of the work was completed in good time to a good standard of workmanship.
The end of the project wasn't entirely smooth, but it was understandable. There was a limited amount of work required to finish the job, largely by subtrades, and it took quite a while to get the work completed. We had no more money available to pay Michael, and Touchwood definitely did not make money on our job. Michael was trying to secure other work, and sign snow plowing contracts, and our project did slip in his priorities.
I would feel comfortable recommending Touchwood for small to medium sized jobs.

I would advise anyone considering using the services of Micheal Cragg or Touchwood Solutions, Touchwood Custom Solutions or Touchwood Contracting to please reconsider. The owner is the unprofessional, untrustworthy, a bully and a liar. The quality of work performed was of the lowest quality. Do your research on this man and his company and you will see a pattern unacceptable behaviour. A lawsuit is ongoing.
Touchwood Custom Solutions added comments:
The homeowner throughout the project was very satisfied and communicated satisfaction often. Upon arrival to demo the main floor the homeowner needed assistance to finish packing and moving boxes to the basement. We moved a couch and dining room hutch to our personal storage unit as they had no room to store it safely through the renovation. As the job progressed there were numerous occassions where she stated that because she had an illness that would eventually lead to disability we should give them a break financially. The price is the price from the original contract and their signature agreed to it. The day prior to completion we approached them regarding the final payment as well as the second last payment that they had not yet made. At this point they initiated complaints about nail holes where pictures previously hung. Long and the short there is an ongoing lawsuit however: Touchwood is the Plaintiff and the client is the defendant

We employed Touchwood for our basement renovation.
The owner was rude, ignorant and lacked even the basic construction skills.
We paid for 100% of the job and received approx 25%. The work that they had done was full of mistakes, they butchered our basement window enlargement, drywall was not screwed into studs, they were always late.
We paid for all the doors, hardware etc and did not receive any, we paid for all the electrics, yet we had to employ another electrician to finish the job, an absoloute nightmare that nearly bankrupt us and my wife was 6 months pregnant at the time you can imagine the stress, this is a warning for everyone out there thinking of renovating DO NOT USE TOUCHWOOD!
