I am so glad that we found Jimmy(James Kennys Custom Carpentry) we were doing a restoration on a heritage home built in the 1868. There were several projects to do from plumming to carpentry, and gutting of a old bathroom to create a new one from scrach. He worked outside building a new fence, to laying new hardwood in my kichen, custom built wall units and also the placement of a tin ceiling Jimmys work was to perfection and I would recommend him on the spot!

Jimmy Kenny was a pleasure to deal with. He is honest and fair. All of the work that he did in renovating our old kitchen was done with care and attention to detail. He worked hard everyday, and sometimes even in extremely hot conditions. He listened to all of our concerns and was able to accommodate any of our requests. His carpentry skills are second to none, and knows a lot about many different aspects of home renovation. Although the job was not completed on schedule, it had a lot to do with factors that were out of our control, which included, severely hot weather, and a car accident. Even through all of this, Jimmy worked in the evenings and weekends to get the job completed as soon as possible.

I have a walk-out basement and was looking for someone that could help build a complex two-level deck that I had drawn up. I got in touch with Jimmy via word of mouth and was not disappointed. I had done up a couple of drafts and we looked through the plans together to see what was possible. He also helped me do up the designs for the municipal permits.

In the end the deck came out just as I had originally envisioned. Two levels with a landing and a section for a hot tub on the lower level. This was not your average project but Jimmy was able to understand the vision I had and turned my drawing in to reality.

We are new homeowners and it's time to do some projects but being new to home ownership, not originally from this province, and not knowing of any contractors in the area, it can be quite intimidating to get things started. After asking around and comparing prices with a few, we took our chances and went on word of mouth about James Kenny, and we're glad we did!

He came and looked at the project we wanted, a interior garage entry. He quoted on the different scenarios we may encounter, and he was very accurate. He walked us through the process of what was involved and started work the next day. He worked in a timely fashion, paid attention to detail, and completed the job on time. We were thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the quality of craftmanship and the finished job. We will definitely be asking for more quotes on future renovations from James Kenny Custom Carpentry.
