John and his company finished our basement renovation. He also gave suggestions regarding the design layout. He had highly qualified people do the work. We could not be happier with the results. John was readily available to discuss any questions we had. Work was done in a timely fashion and they took pride in their work. John was like a family friend to us. We would highly reccomend him and his company. He is a prince among other contractors. We plan to use him again and would not think to use anyone else. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

This was the first time I did a major reno on our home, and thank heavens our realtor recommended John's services. From the get-go, he was excited to work on our project, submitted information, quotes and contacts for suppliers on time and was generally extremely professional. He also was patient enough to explain various aspects of the project to me (the newbie) in detail - and I've never done more than screw in a lightbulb on my own before. He is very organized and returns phone calls, and his crew is also extremely professional and friendly.

We were doing renos while planning a wedding (and subsequently, a surgery), and having John around taking care of things really took a huge load off our minds. He really went to bat for us with an errant supplier, and generally went just above and beyond the call of duty to help make our lives easier. I would definitely recommend his work, and will be using his services for all future projects.

I used John to build a detached garage - he was referred to me by a neighbour who also used him to build their garage. He was professional and got the job done on time - it was the first time I'd hired a contractor and I was happy with his work - he handled everything and it was hassle free for me! I would hire him again.

My wife and I bought a house with a huge question mark attached to it, there was rotting in the wood sill which as a foundation issue can lead to a major expense to repair. We liked the house a lot and were given enough incentive to buy that we rolled the dice. John came in, assessed the job and the informed me step by step what was going to occur. The next day his excellent crew came in and got down to business. They were efficient, highly skilled and fast. The job was over before I knew it, cleanup was perfect and the bill was a lot less than we had anticipated. I would recommend them to everyone!

I bought my house in the Moore Park neighbourhood in Toronto in 2006. The house needed a large renovation, which was quite a stress since as a first time home buyer I knew nothing about the process and also who to trust. Fortunately, a friend referred me to speak with John De Toro of Toro Renovations, since he had utilized Toro for his own home renovations and had a good experience. I contracted John for our 6 month roughly $100,000 renovation. John & his Toro team did a terrific job. The work was performed on-time and as promised. 5 years later everything that Toro worked on is still in good condition, and we have been repeat customers in recent years we have continued to hire Toro with additional updates. My relationship with John is definitely long-term, and I expect to hire him again if ever our family moves to another home.

John was given a magazine picture of what I need to be done at the side of my house. He replicated it thoroughly. No only did he do an excellent job he did it the time he said it would take to be completed. there were no hidden or additional costs to his quote both supplies and labor. This job was done 4 years ago and I have not had one issue with the pathway that he created for our house. I would highly recommend John and his company for any of your renovation needs. I recently renovated my kitchen with the assistance of Toro Renovations. Being a decorator by trade, I found John to not only exude extensive knowledge of all facets of the industry but also his impeccable customer service skills ensured perfection throughout the renovation project. John de Toro has done quite a bit of work for us and we couldn't be more pleased. He put in a new kitchen for us, along with a family room reno. This involved electrical, flooring, new ceiling, crown mouldings, etc. His advice along the way as we chose tiles, counter, etc. was invaluable. We had him put in a waterproof basement floor, re-do a small bathroom and construct a walk-in closet. We are extremely pleased with the results and highly recommend him to our friends. We would use his services again without reservation.
