Michael Shafer has performed a various array of construction and maintenance services for me over the past four years.

Bathroom – I have a relatively small bathroom in my home and Mike installed a bath surround, as well as ceramic tiling on the remaining walls in the bathroom, and replaced the toilet with a high-boy. Nice! He updated both sets of bathroom faucets and lighting fixtures. To give me some cabinet space without using up valuable floor space, he inserted a two-door linen tower into the wall space where a Selkirk chimney once was. I am delighted that I can now store my towels and toiletries in the bathroom, and not in a closet down the hallway.

Kitchen – Mike succeeded in bringing my 1960’s kitchen up to date by changing the placement of the refrigerator and stove, and then re-plumbed two sinks. Mike designed and built a kitchen island that has received many rave reviews from my friends and family.

Office - Mike expanded my office space (or second bedroom) by using the space provided by the kitchen reorganization (on the other side of the wall).

Attic – A rampway was built up to the attic entrance over an existing exceptionally high basement stairwell, thus allowing a new closet in my office/second bedroom. There was no previous usable entrance to the attic.

I would hire him again in the heartbeat.
