Various Repairs

I have Kerry at our home on several occasions to fix various problems. The jobs I asked Kerry to do or fix were done perfectly and in a timely fashion. Kerry is very efficent and friendly and I will always recommend him to my friends and family. We are very lucky to know him. Thankyou.

Deck Build

When I stumbled across KCO while surfing the net I did not realise that I had found a real professional. We had contacted several people about my needs but only KCO bothered to call back. It was clear from the start that Kerry was committed to doing a good job that he could be proud of and not just turning up for the paycheck at the end. We are extremely pleased with our new deck and will definitely be using this company for other work in the future.

Basement Storage Room

Since he was really unable to solve any of my problems he should of just charged for his hour of work...

February 8th - Kerry Baird contacted me through my website requesting a service call to repair a drawer in her built in closet that has never closed properly and a garage door that never closes right. I called her and made arrangements for a service call. I told her on the phone that I have a two hour minimum charge for a service call. My handyman rates are $50 per hour plus GST with a two hour minimum. She then gave me the address and we set up a date to check out her repairs. On February 15th I did the service call and accessed the garage door problem. She had to hold the wall mounted garage opener button until the door was completely closed. I checked the photo cells and found that the right side photo cell not powered, all wires looked to be intact, I then checked the garage door opener in the ceiling and all wires were also intact. I gave Kerry the option of me shopping around and find out where to buy a new photo cell to match existing or I could give her a couple of names of garage door companies who would most likely have the photo cell in their truck stock. I gave her two reputable companies to call to resolve her issue as this would be the most cost efficient to her. We then went into the house to check out her problem with her drawer and found the right side gable of the drawer unit was bowed out. The glide was not fitting properly because of the bow so drawer was constantly falling through. I installed some washers and adjusted the drawer unit so the repair was successful. The client said she was happy as this was the first time she was able to use the drawer unit since it was built ten years ago. I was at her home for about and hour plus the travel time there and back. She paid me by Cheque and I said that I would email her an invoice / receipt later that day. When I returned to the office I realized that she had not paid me the GST. I revised invoice to $ 47.62 per hour and the GST then became $ 4.77 to get the invoice to match the Cheque of $100.00. Never did Kerry Baird indicate to me that she was unhappy with my services. As a handyman I am able to repair many things for my clients. When I am not able to do the repair, I always refer a reputable company that can do the job for my client. This is why I have an excellent rating as an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau of Southern Alberta.

Handyman Services

I had small repairs around my place that had piled up and needed these tasks fixed up before I moved. I contacted a few different handy-service companies and Kerry was the first to contact me. He made time to come see my place and my concerns in the same day. He was honest about the tasks he could and couldn't help with and directed me to the appropriate companies and such to help with appliances he couldn't work on.

Kerry was also very upfront about the time that my tasks would take and there were no surprises in costs. I appreciated Kerry's timeliness - by the time I'd heard from some of the other companies, Kerry had already fixed my window and was on his way to fixing up some of the other items. Would recommend services from KCO to others.

Basement Developement

My husband and I were so happy with the outcome of our basement development. Kerry had great attention to detail on things that we did not even request. We loved how Kerry was such a perfectionist to make sure everything was completed to his high quaility standards. Our basement was a undeveloped space and now it has lots of storage space, family room, laundry area, and a safe play area for our children. It added so much value to our home and gave us another level to entertain our guests on. We feel we saved so much money and time by hiring Kerry as he his a very talented handyman that can do a variety of trades. He is a one stop shop which was a huge convienience for us. We would and have highly recommended Kerry and his company, KCO Holdings to our friends and family. We will definately use his services in our next reno project!

Kerry ended up doing a much bigger project than was initially anticipated. He did not hesitate to continue when the scope increased , and was able to complete the larger project within timelines that met my expectations. He is very courteous and very professional in his dealings.

Deck Stairs and Flower Boxes

Kerry and his partner roy did an extremely good job at our place building a deck, stairs, and flowerboxes at our acreage.i had tried to get a "contractor" to do this before and had asked to have it all done before the end of april 2010(we asked for a quote and showed the project in november 2009), we got a response from this company in may 2010, that they were ready to start with a quote missing a few things.

I would recommend kerry to do a great job, he is punctual and reliable.
