I was very overwhelmed when water from our 2nd floor bathroom was dripping into our living room! In my quest to find a solution, I found Mike and M2R. Right from the beginning, Mike’s calm and professional demeanor reduced my anxiety and I was confident that I was in good hands. To summarize my experience with Mike with the renovations of 2 bathrooms:

• He took the time to listen to what I wanted, made recommendations and we modified the plans together.

• There were no surprises…he communicated each step of the process and we were in contact via phone and email, before he began, during the job and after the job to follow up.

• Excellent workmanship and attention to detail.

• On budget and on time.

• Was punctual and always left the worksite tidy.

• Very knowledgeable, polite and always a gentleman with a sense of humour.

• When he signs up for a job, he starts thinking about it before the start date…he called weeks before he started to let me know about a type of ceiling fan that would work in my situation…impressive.

• Mike sees each job as an important job…no matter how big or small. His provided quality work and excellent customer service.

Bottom line: I love my bathrooms and highly recommend Mike and his team.

The project started small, with a small wall to be removed and patched up. It turned into a bigger renovation as the building inspector found half the office without proper fire separation. Mike was very courteus and helpfull, he provided a fair quote given the rush and got the work done within the budget and in a timely manner. He also coordinated electrical work along with minor miscellaneous requests by the building inspector regarding access and pipe crossings.

Overall, I am very pleased with his work and definatelly eccomend him to everyone else.

Mike provided updates frequently, which was great, it allows for proper planning. This project took place before the Xmas holidays and it was running a little late due an unforeseen issue , however he came through for us, and set us up to be operational as he promised. Kitchen looks fantastic.

M2R did a great job on my Kitchen and pot light project. Countertops and sink are looking great with solid installation. My backsplash choice was a unique pattern/material and was installed great. M2R left my unit very clean after the project and ready for me to move in. I'm very happy with the results.

I would like to thank Mike and his team for the awesome job they did on my basement. I was in a rush to modify my exisitng basement as I was selling my current property quickly. While the job was not a very big one, Mike and his team were professional and a pleasure to deal with. It was refreshing to deal with a contractor who actually listens to what the client wants and respects thier respective timelines. We are very pleased with the entire renovating process that we went through with Mike from M2R Enterprises. We had our entire basement finished with a large bathroom, game area, and entertainment area. We also planned for a bar that was simply not in the budget at this time (we will have Mike back to do that in the future).

From the first meeting for a proposal and quote we could tell that Mike was someone that we wanted to deal with. Mike went over several planning and design details that we had not even considered which made the project much better than we could have imagined. We hired M2R Enterprises to build a bathroom in our basement. Everything has been finished has planned. The quality of the job is excellent. We got other quotes which were cheaper but one thing we appreciated with M2R is the fact that Mike acted as a consultant and gave us very useful advice in order to accomplish a coherent project. On top of this we knew that there would be no hidden surprise because we signed a proper contract.

This is worth the cost and we will work with M2R Enterprises again when we have new projects! I will recommend this company to my friends.

We had a partial bathroom renovation done together with kitchen lighting and a change in all the faucets in the house. Mike did an excellent job overall, and in the process even managed to eliminate the sound of groaning that had started in the pipes about a year ago and followed every toilet flush.

We were impressed by the detailed description of the work to be done, positive suggestions for better improvements in preparation for the sale of our house planned for next year, and excellent communication re. work progress via email. Jobs were completed very well and in a reasonable time frame as per his original promises. Mike even followed up after the completion of his work, to ensure our satisfaction.

In November 2009 we had our basment renovated from scratch to give us a family room and powder room. The results are exactly what we wanted. Mike and his guys are great. Everything was accomplished without drama, and even the little problems that tend to come up were handled easily and without stress. Like many construction projects, this one went a bit over time, but that was not a problem for us as we were only concerned that things be done well. We would hire M2R again anytime, and have already recommended them to family.

Mike was very knowledgeable about all aspects of construction. He was easy to work with. I would rate him a very well qualified contractor. I would definitely contact him again next time I am in need of renovation work.

We recently renovated our second floor bathroom with Mike of M2R and we are very happy with the results. There were a few unexpected items that came up, such as a plumbing in a wall we wanted to take down, but Mike was very diligent at explaining our options and trying to resolve things to our satisfaction. Mike uses high quality materials in the build process as well as licensed trades people, given that, his quote was very competitive and the project came in on budget. The unique thing about Mike is his communication; he keeps the customer completely involved with daily updates and willingly answers all questions until you are satisfied.

I only regret that we did not find Mike sooner and I will certainly call him back for any future renovations. I would highly recommend M2R Enterprises with no reservation to anyone interested in a high quality job by a trustworthy contractor.

We recently finished a basement renovation with Mike of M2R Enterprises. We were very pleased with the service we received. We worked with Mike to decide the layout of our new basement and he gave us suggestions how to maximize our space. The project came in within budget based on the quote that we were given. We felt that the materials used were of high quality and that the sub-contractors used for the electrical and drywall were of a high calibre and did a wonderful job.

review of: Mike Himelfarb - M2R Enterprises

I would urge anybody who wants their job completed in a timely manner by a courteous, educated, budget-conscious contractor to contact Mike Himelfarb at M2R Enterprises.

He took the time to give me a general overview of the construction industry, do's and don'ts, what to look for and what to pass on. He was not a high pressure salesman but "read" as very honest and sincere.

So it wasn't brain surgery to have picked him to complete my roofing and bathroom repairs.

He subcontracted to a roofing company who had the job done in two days. Fast and efficient with no collateral damage in terms of mess or damage to the landscaping or environment.

Mike did the bathroom repair himself, and that was completed in an extremely timely fashion. He was courteous at all times, showed up when he said he was going to, called if he couldn't, and most importantly the work looks great! I had wanted to do some additional work which he recommended against (long story) and he was perfectly right in suggesting that. Most contractors would have jumped at the chance to make more money, but I think that Mike is legitimately concerned about customer satisfaction as much or more than he is about making a buck. This mirrors my own personal work ethic.

He also came in precisely on budget.

I was very impressed with his level of communication. One of my caveats was that the job had to be done quickly. I work from my home office and as such any disruption to my routine was going to be costly in terms of time lost. It is difficult to concentrate when you have construction workers stampeding on your roof or banging around your house when you are trying to work in an office space directly underneath and adjacent to the noise. Mike was cognizant of that and expedited the work so as to cause the least amount of disturbance. The noise from the roofers was unavoidable, but they were friendly and at least it was over quickly; I have seen other roofers in the area take several weeks to complete the same job, and these folks were done in two days.

Mike was so quiet when he was doing the work in my bathroom that I had to poke my head in several times to see if he was still there!

So not only did he communicate well, but he listened, advised and followed through on everything that he promised. He kept me informed every step of the way, answered any questions thoroughly and in as much detail as I needed without "dumbing down" as many professionals (in any field) will do when communicating with a layman. In other words he didn't make me feel like an idiot for asking what to him would be a self-evident question.

I think that the majority of people have the erroneous belief that construction workers & contractors are rough, undesirable of character and ill-educated; Mike certainly shattered that misconception as he was well-spoken, erudite, polite and indeed a true gentleman.

An excellent experience all the way around, and I would not hesitate to recommend this contractor to anybody in need of any type of home repair. You are even welcome to speak with me about it in person should you wish any more details.
