General Contractor in Kamloops, BC

My husband and I hired Jesse Richter to complete a renovation of our upstairs floor and roof. It took nearly a year and we spent endless hours trying to get a hold of him, as he avoided our calls. It was a 200,000 renovation and it turned out that he didn't know how to do finishing work and a large renovation (yes, we did check his reference – likely just a friend), so we had to hire private contractors to build the stairs, etc. In the end, Jesse and his crew (which changed every month) dropped over 3 inches of debris (nails, metal, wood, coffee cups, etc.) into our pool (it cost over $10,000 to repair), the roof was put on wrong so four of our windows cracked, sharp debris was spread through our yard and other roofs that took nearly a year to clean up (still finding nails in flowers), and he never finished the exterior work, which resulted in rain water poured into four of our interior walls – that we now have to repair. Just today, one of the wooden frames around a closet door fell off and almost hit my daughter. We took him to small claims and won nearly $25,000, but still haven't received a penny. The actual damage and deficient to the home are around $70,000 but we can no longer afford a lawyer. Do no hire this guy!!!!
