Renovation Contractor in Edmonton, AB

I am so sick and tired of all of these lying, unqualified, horrible excuses for Contractors. We hired this guy to renovate. I THINK HE THOUGHT WE SAID DESTROY OUR HOUSE, LEAVE A MESS, CAUSE MORE DAMAGE THAN YOU ACTUALLY REPAIR ETC..

In short --- DON'T LET STEPHEN GILLARDS CONSTRUCTION DO ANYTHING. YOU WILL BE SORRY.

This is the worst experience I have ever had. I hired Gillard's Construction to complete a basement renovation at the begining of February 2012. 3 weeks later he was asking for his final payment and the place was a mess...there were holes in the walls, paint on the ceiling, door knobs, hinges, tiles were broken and sealed with caulking instead of grout. There are holes around every electrical outlet, cabinets and couter tops are damaged, cabinets were put in before drywall leaving vapor barrier and interior walling showing through. Electrical in the ceiling was not put into electrical boxes...bathroom vent went nowhere...laminate was damaged and paited brown to cover it up and no underlay was put down.

DO NOT HIRE!!!! I now have to have a second contractor come in and fix the mess left by Gillard's Construction and iot will end up costing me double!!! Worst experience with a contractor ever, he is not qualified to be completing any job.
