Unfortunately our experience with Stewart wasn't as glorious as many posted on this website. He was extremely hard to get a hold of. And make sure you ask his hours of operation. Wasn`t here when he said he would be here and then when he did show up worked late 2 nights (10:30 p.m.-eeks). His work was ok. Our railing cracked when he put it back together and he didn`t fill the holes to minimize the damage? Then there are the loose spindles? Finally, I requested our invoice (marked "paid in full") to be mailed....still waiting.

We are glad to recommend Stewart @ SCT who has changed the carpet on our staircase, and has replaced the floor nosing. The work took three days and was done at a high quality level. All around the first floor edge, as well as at the top of the stairs, the edge of the laminated floor had to be covered using a special nosing and, again, the quality of the job was most satisfactory. The price of the contract was also reasonable. Thank you.

Stewart just finished tiling my utility room in my basement (200 sqrft). He had to match the existing pattern / design and grout in the new room to the existing floor. Stewart did a fantastic job and did what he said he would do, in the time and cost he said it would take. Excellent tile work! He cleaned up the floor and all the mess in my garage when he was finished. I would definitely recommend Stewart and will leverage him again when I decide to do my laundry room.

We hired SCT Floorcoverings to redo our basement flooring. We chose to use with the 15.3mm Koa because it mostly closely matches our existing oak. Stewart did a great job and we were lucky to have found him. We would recommend his work, as he is very careful about getting he details right.

Stweart was contracted to install 15 mm dark chocolate laminate flooring as well as berber carpeting on the stairs. Stewart worked very hard and addressed any concerns I had along the way. I am very pleased with the end results and definitely recommend Stewart for flooring and carpeting installations.

Stewart and SCT Floorcoverings was a gem of a find. The project included laminate in 3 rooms and 2 hallways and ceramic tile in the kitchen and bathroom. The project was on time and on budget. I found Stewart very professional, responsive and focused on customer service. He worked extremely hard (long hours) to complete the project and the quality of work was top notch. I'd recommend his service to anyone. In fact I have neighbours asking about his service already. Such a pleasure to find a contractor that really cares. Thanks Stewart

After seeing what was posted here, we decided to give Stewart a try. Short notice/ rush job. He made it over with samples, had the wife's approval, and performed the install- all within our timelines and budget.

Stewart did a wonderful job. He had to remove about 1/2" of concrete and two layers of old vinyl flooring plus 1/8" on plywood to get down to the original sub floor. He did so with skill and screwed down the original sub floor to the joists then laminated another 3/8" of plywood on top of that, and did a terrific job with the tile and grout. I would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend him. His pricing was very reasonable.

Stewart of SCT did an amazing job installing our laminate flooring. He was very good at returning emails and phone calls regarding our questions and was very professional in all of our dealings. He was always on time and stayed within our budget. Even after running into a bit of an unforeseen hiccup (on the builders part, not Stewart's) he took the extra time to figure out a way to make some alterations which allowed him to carry on his professional job instead of having this possible oddity stick out like a sore thumb - and although it took some time and extra work to do so, Stewart did not ask for any more than we had already agrred to. I would definitly recommend Stewart to anyone looking for quality, craftsmanship and professionalism.

We had Stuart remove existing ceramic tile from our front hallway and install natural slate tile.

He did excellent work and we are extremely pleased with the result.

We had Stewart install a laminate floor in our basement. With Stewart's input we chose the Koa Jatoba - 15mm - high gloss planks. The end result is simply amazing. The floor looks just like real wood. All this was done on a fairly tightl budget. Stewart exceeded our expectations. He is an extremely hard worker and is very punctual. He works until late in the evenings to get the work done on a timely basis. SCT Floorcoverings Inc. will be the first choice for our future floorng projects.

SCT Floorcoverings completed a smaller bathroom tiling project for me and the results were fantastic. The travertine looks perfect and the quality of the project is exceptional. Working as a project manager in the construction business, I was reluctant to try an 'unknown' having heard all the horror stories of home renovations, but without a doubt, I would not hesitate to use SCT again. Their attention to detail and thought towards project execution is rare to see and for these reasons, would feel confident recommending them to others.

Stewart did an incredible job installing our laminate throughout the upstairs and at a very reasonable price. He is knowledgable and was able to answer all our flooring questions. He workmanship, and attention to detail is amazing, which contributed to our upstairs floor looking incredible. The project took abit longer than expected due to reason out of Stewart's control, and we were happy he took the extra time to make it look great as opposed to rushing and having it look less than spectacular. We were so impressed we asked for a quote on the main floor, which we expect to have SCT do in a few weeks.

We would recommend SCT to friends and family as a result of the spectacular results,

Stewart of SCT Floorcoverings is a true craftsman. We did not obtain quotes from any other contractor. Instead, we chose Stewart because he came highly recommended here on the board AND because his specialty is only floors. With more than 20 years of experience, we figured he knew what he was doing. We had him put down hardwood in our bedroom and hallway. We were not disappointed -- the job is fantastic. The new sub floor he laid first is extremely stable and solid. His meticulous attention to detail means the wood grains and colours are matched and the doorways are almost invisibly sealed. We like his work so much, we asked him to come back and turn our carpeted stairs into custom oak. Highly highly recommend Stewart.

Stewart did a great job. He laid laminate flooring in my retail store and when he first saw it he recommended running it on an angle instead of straight with the walls. I would have never thought of this and I'm glad he said it because it looks fantastic and I've gotten so many compliments on it. He also laid some ceramic tiles at the entrance way - what a quality job. He worked hard and it was a long day but he got the job done on time which was important so that I could open the store again on time. I'd recommend him and I'd use him again. I only wish I found him before we had the floors in our house laid.

When I first posted my job here for a hardwood floor job - I had almost 20 responses in 1 night and had 3 or 4 people come in to take a look at the job. As soon as Stewart came to take a look I knew he was the right person for the job. He was professional, timely and very competitive with his pricing. He went the extra mile to help us out - he picked up our materials for us even though he didn't have to because we didn't have a van (we purchased the materials separate from the labour).

His work was excellent and had great attention to detail. Did an excellent job on some of the trickier parts of the floor when he had to manually cut the wood to make it fit. He may take a little longer than some of the other contractors - but he takes great pride in his work and it shows.

We have since hired Stu for two other jobs because of his excellent work - one more flooring job and a kitchen backsplash! I highly recommend Stu and SCT Floor Coverings for your flooring work!

Stewart installed all the hardwood floorings in my house (first & second floor) plus installing all wood stairs in about a month time. He did this big job on his own & he did a fantastic job. Although he took a bit longer than I expected to finish the job, the wait was worth while. Whenever I had questions or problems, he returned my call within 24 hrs. I took a lot of pictures before, during & after the renovation, hoping that I can post them up here. But it doesn't seem to have this option in here. Anyway, I highly recommend SCT Floorcoverings.

The job took a little longer than I expected, however it was well worth the wait. Stewart had a bit of a commute to get here, which added to the time it took to complete the job. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of Stewart's workmanship and his attention to detail. He was very courteous in all my dealings with him before and during the completion of the installation of bamboo hardwood flooring in my livingroom and landing. I would highly recommend SCT floorcoverings.

I was thoroughly impressed from the beginning with Stew. He placed a phone call to me about the project as opposed to all others using email, he then arrived to do a thorough estimate. Upon arriving at the job, he worked well within the allocated time and budgeted and has provided me with a fantastic floor in my living room.
