Carpentry Company in Lasalle, QC

This guy is a BIG CHEAT. Be aware of him. He dug my basement and took 500$ to buy plumbing stuffs then gone with the wind. Good part is that after having extensive search i found the guy where he lives and and what is his new phone number.

Smooth talking but ultimately incompetent contractor. I needed a simple, 800 sq. ft condo to have the parquetry floors sanded and stained, and then the walls painted. Paid a big deposit up front-----BIG MISTAKE!!! Don't pay this guy anything until the work starts, then maybe pay him for each day's work.

Painted 2 rooms and a ceiling. Instead of sanding the floors, he said that he needed to use varnish remover. After a week of that useless effort, he basically disappeared. Impossible to telephone, never returned my calls. 7 weeks later (!!!!!!!!!), still homeless, I fired him, and had to get new people. The new floor guy laughed at the previous effort, and after 3 days, his job is almost done.

Do yourself a favour. Get someone who has references, someone from a friend of yours, or a neighbour, or whose work you've seen. Fernando from this company is either simply incompetent, or is an actual thief and liar who took over $2000 as a deposit and left me in the lurch. He also claimed he was diagnosed with a serious disease, and that's why the work lagged. A bunch of BS ultimately, I'm sure, and that's why I urge you to go elsewhere. This company should be removed from this website!
