About the owner - James Aikenhead - Prior to entering the Construction Industry, I attended Queens University for three years garnering a BA. I then attended George Brown for their Building Renovation Technology (T110) program. I started WCD in August 2010 while having worked for a prominent contractor in Toronto. I was fortunate to grow and learn in an environment which stressed the importance of proper finishing, cleanliness on site and being accountable. The ability to create a space which caters to a client’s everyday needs and more importantly their lifestyle is very fulfilling.

At WCD, we believe being involved from Day 1 is vital to being able to execute the wants of a homeowner on time and on budget. From deciding where a certain partition is most advantageous to which grout color best compliments the tile and surrounding elements in a room, we will guide you through your home renovation while keeping you informed and at ease.
