The Renovators have now completed two major projects at my home in the past 3 years. The first was our deck in 2010. We gave them a pretty tight deadline on that one and they came through beautifully. There were no hidden costs or suprises, the price quoted was the price we paid. It was more of the same with our basement project in early 2013. The design came out exactly as was presented, on budget, and was completed well within our time requirements. One of the crew members was even kind enough to repair a hole I made in a bedroom wall upstairs, and even sanded and primed the repaired area for me! For my deck project I selected them mainly due to their low price. However for the basement, I selected them because we knew from our previous experience that they do quality work, we could trust them, and most importantly, that we would be happy with the finished product.

We contracted The Renovators to remove existing ceramic tile in our foyer/powder room and laundry room and lay a spectacular Travertine pattern. They also removed a shower in the powder room to revert it to a foyer closet. This was our first contracted renovation and we were very happy with the outcome. The finished product is absolutely fabulous; the overall project management of the job was very professional yet fun and friendly.

From the initial walk through to provide a quote right up to the end of the project (and beyond) Kevin and Lisa provided amazing customer service and were a joy to work with. The entire team (right down to the co-op students) were polite, courteous, and friendly and they put up with a lot of questions from an avid DIYer!

We were also very impressed that Kevin and Lisa are involved in the high school Co-op program (we even had a visit from one of the teachers!). This says a lot about the kind of people they are and the kind of business they run.

We have a list of things to be done and we will definitely be calling The Renovators again!!!

We recently had our main bathroom renovated by Kevin and his team, and it was a very positive experience overall. The process from start to finish was well-organized, and they stayed completely on track with the timeline they had initially given us. They did an excellent job on time and budget for replacing hardwood floor in the living room of our 100 years old home. Very prompt in responding to our questions. The cre working were very couteous and polite. We were happy with the work and will have them back to do other jobs. As house is old, they were dealing with a lot of issues.

Home renovation projects can be tough on you and your entire family. Especially so, when you are right in the middle of it for almost a month and a half and it is as elaborate as finishing your basement. Horror stories from friends about torrid times given by numerous “fly by night” operators in the garb of contractors keeps you on tenterhooks. We started our search for a good contractor almost 3 to 4 months before our target start date. After thorough research, we must have short listed 15-16 contractors for sending the initial request for a meeting on site. We eventually met around 8 good contractors in GTA and received 6 quotes for the project. The only contractors we met were the ones who had great word of mouth references and vouched for by their past clients. "The Renovators" were the last contractor met and we never regretted our decision to go with them for our basement. We personally met 4 of their past clients and saw the quality of work put in before finalizing them. The first meeting with Kevin on site was good. His pleasant demeanor and a "Yes, consider that done" response to virtually every requirement was amazingly reassuring. The quote was in the upper mid range but their glowing references sealed it for us. And then we literally saw our dream turn into reality. The team operates like clockwork in a thoroughly professional manner and Kevin’s daily presence and involvement is reassuring too. Kevin's partner Lisa is another reason why "the Renovators" make such an awesome team to have on your project. Right from the initial quote, Lisa's systematic emails are a tremendous help in keeping track of work, deadlines and payment schedule. Payments are linked to work progress and everything is transparent which also ensures that you stick to your budget. What we were quoted is what we finished with, minimal surprises through the way unless you expand the scope of work yourself. We greatly appreciate having "The Renovators" finish our basement project in an efficient and professional manner and would gladly have them on our property again for all our future renovation needs.

We first came across the company on handycanadian.com, where they had many positive reviews from past clients. When providing a free estimate, The Renovators provided a detailed floor plan and price breakdown that clearly explained the price of each aspect of the job. Not only was it in writing, but Kevin clearly explained each component of the quote and was very happy to answer any questions that we had. Also, Kevin was instrumental with providing design ideas such as where to build a bathroom and storage to maximize space. We regularly had conversations with Kevin about the renovation process, and received e-mails consistently from Lisa, with updates for our project. Kevin, Lisa, and the crew were able to educate us as the renovation went on, eliminating any stress that may have occurred without them. The Renovators do not cut corners or shorthand any job aspect. They provided attention to detail and even went out of their way to ensure that they produce the best final product.

Once the job was complete, Lisa contacted us to ensure that we were totally pleased with our new basement. They were willing and eager to fix any problems or blemishes that we may have had, even after the final payment. Once again going beyond to please their clients. We were very pleased with our basement. The whole project was completed on time, and exactly to the quote initially provided at the start of the whole process. Anytime you take on a renovation it’s stressful no matter how prepared you are for it. With “The Renovators” all staff worked very hard to make our basement renovation go as smoothly as possible. The staff are very knowledgeable, they work with you not against you and the end result is a project we are very pleased with. 4 piece bath. The Renovators did such a great job with our other bathroom, it was a "no brainer" to call them back to do this one. Everything turned out great again. On time and at the quoted (and very reasonable) price. I know there must have been parts of the job that took longer than expected, but there were no complaints and no adjustments to the quote. They just got the job done as promised! Now that we have such professional and reliable contractors, we may never move!

After being frustrated by the seemingly overpriced estimates by and sometimes indifferent attitudes from a couple of other contractors, as well as that company that renovates "over" existing problems, I found The Renovators. The quote was what I expected to pay (20%-30% cheaper than the others) so I said "let's do it!". They arrived when they said they would, and even though it was a relatively small job, they treated it as their #1 priority throughout the project. While doing the wood floor I asked for an estimate on a deck in the back.
