Our property sits about 4 ft higher than our neighbors behind us. The wall that holds our property from falling into our neighbors yard is falling down. The fence (currently iron) is falling over. Project Description:
We recently purchased a home to discover that the kitchen addition that was added to our home is unsafe and unsecure. The home is approximently 90 years old and the kitchen additon which is attached to the back of the home is estimated at between 40 to 50 years old. The kitchen is only 1 storey and does not have a foundation. The kitchen is being supported by tree stumps (approximently 4 to 6)which are rotting and causing the kitchen to pull away from the home and slope to one side. There is a visable slope within the kitchen interiour of the kitchen. The area under the kitchen is open and all wiring and piping is exposed and will need to be insultated and checked. The kitchen in approximently 40 to 50 cm off the ground and boards are able to be pulled in order to access underneath to kitchen to view rotting tree stumps.
We are not looking to re-do our kitchen but only to make is safe by hopefully replacing the tree stumps with concrete tubes and running metal beams to support the kitchen structure. |
