Project Title: Main bathroom rebuild
Job Number: HCA22953
Type: Residential
Category: Interiors
Subcategory: Bathroom Renovation
Location: Regina, Saskatchewan
Main concern: Price
Budget: $5,000 - $20,000
Project will be started in: 3 - 4 months
Requires financing: No
Project Description:
Looking to completely gut and rebuild a main bathroom in a 1970's home. the approximate size is 10x6 including tub space. Custom build vanity but reuse current countertop and sink. Keep same toilet, completely replace bath tub and surround. The surround would have to take into consideration there is a window in the middle of the surround. Completely remove and re-install electrical, update plumbing to pex. Completely re-drywall entire bathroom, mud, tape, and paint. Remove and replace current lino with laminate or lino. Typically. how long would a project like this take, provided there was only access to the location after hours and weekends. I see from some research and other quotes that this would cost around $5000-$6000 if there was nothing fancy, just a basic remove and replacement. I am just wondering what would be an average cost.

I have a brand new basement. I am planning to do something to it. The area is 504 square ft. I want a bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity. I am thinking of two bedrooms, 1 storage room and a utility roon under the staircases. Of course the laundry room too with my stackable landry machine and dryer. There would be one closet in each bedroom. The house is approximately 50 years old but newly renovated. The basement is plumbing ready for the bathroom. There is no furnace room since it is a townhouse. The source of heater is boiler. I don't need fancy materials. I can use affordable one but durable. I really want this done but I need contractors to offer me affordable cost.
