We hired Touchwood Custom Solutions after looking at another job they had done and what the people who had hired them said about them. We had our kitchen cupboards and counter and back wall and flooring removed and then a new kitchen put in and laminate flooring going from the kitchen through the hall and down our front stairs to the landing. They did an excellent job and even went beyond what they were to do by moving the fridge and a hutch out of our kitchen. We called Michael when we went to look at cupboards, flooring and he came and met us at the stores and was the one who even went and picked up our flooring in his truck to save us the expense of having it delivered. I hired Octane Electric to to do residential electrical upgrade from 100 to 200 amps. BC Hydro was to intervene to assess and recommend the upgrade. Tom was in charge of all appointments and paper work with the authorities, viz, (CNV and BC Hydro). Everything went smoothly. The project was completed to my satisfaction, including overseeing of electrical connection to new jacuzzi installed in the backyard. Tom is dedicated professional who understands clients needs and meets the allocated budget. I'll recommend Octane Electric to anyone without reservation who wants hassle free quality work done. I hired Keith to strip both my flat and shingled roofs and to repair/replace them. Job was done quickly and efficiently... BUT... and this is a big BUT... Problems began almost immediately after the job was "done". The flat roof was improperly sealed, resulting in a flood in the master bedroom closet (ruined hundreds of dollars of clothes) - Keith sent a crew to repair it, and less than a week later it leaked again. Had to have the closet repaired twice and throw out bags of clothes that were moulded and stained. Next, the addition at the back (which had been leaking and prompted the job in the first place) continued to leak for well over a year. Keith didn't seem to be able to fix it. Calado and Lima fully renovated my home which we purchased from them before the rennovations were fully complete. They are in the business of flipping homes and renovating. They committed to coming back after closing to finish and fix what ever wasn't completed or what ever needed repair. The real estate agent who represented both parties vouched for them, and so we took their word for it. Although they visited my home on several occasions to complete and rectify some of the work, I got the run-a-round from them for 5 months. Some of the deficincies included a gas leak from an improperly installed gas range which could have cost us our home, not to mention our lives.
